Apologies in advance for the overly-sentimental post this early in the season... BUT for many of you who know me and know how much I talk about my CSA, and Dustin, and my dreams for building the small agribusiness of my dreams; this week was it. This week felt like our CSA leveled-up to a to a really big deal.
In case you missed it, our friend Erica from Cardinal Spirits interviewed Dustin and blogged about the CSA in their amazingly beautiful and well-written newsletter. Almost immediately we saw our website traffic uptick three thousand percent and customers wanting to sign up for shares were comin' out of the woodwork. As is typical of new ventures, the traffic also highlighted some things that weren't-so-ready to go; and our on-line store was one of those things. Fortunately, with some strong coffee (i love you, hopscotch) and emails to the customer care departments - we were able to persevere and have our store operational within a few shakes of a lamb's tail. If you haven't checked our our store yet, you might want to take a look sometime in the few weeks because we will be adding some fun items for your eating and drinking pleasure and even starting to talk about WINTER CSA SHARES... So stay tuned...
This is all to say, that if you are talking to your friends, family and co-workers about a CSA share, let them know to sign up as SOON AS POSSIBLE. We are halfway to our maximum capacity, and are almost sold out of egg shares for the season. If you are ready to commit, but don't have the full payment; let us know and we can hold a share for your and split your payment into two halves (due March 15th and May 15th respectively).
