The Shuffle to Duffle

We have some exciting news coming to you from Rathgebers' Garten as it relates to how we bundle our bounty!

If you were among those who were patrons of our CSA last year, you may recall searching through various totes for plastic bags labeled lovingly with your last name. The hope was that you located all of the bags of veggies, and grabbed eggs, and perhaps other special treats we had in store before you returned to your homesteads. Sometimes that wasn't the case- bags were forgotten, and produce was left accidentally-- and (frankly) we weren't super enthusiastic about using the plastic bag system as we scaled the CSA to include more people.

Well this year we've got a new system to make it QUICKER, EASIER and MORE SUSTAINABLE! We've leveled up and will now be delivering your shares in labeled and packed exclusively for you insulated cooler bags!

How this will work: Each CSA member will be entrusted with two insulated cooler bags during the 20 week CSA. When you pick up your share, drop off the bag from the prior week's delivery and take home your share in the second insulated cooler bags. Just the ole' switcheroo from one week to the next.

Perhaps you are like me and can't be trusted to remember to bring the cooler bag from one week to the next. My suggestion would be to have a few canvas bags in your car so that when you pick up your share you can leave the cooler bag at the drop off location where it will be stored both safe and sound until returned to the farm later in the week.

Now to the nitty-gritty details. If for some reason your insulated bag goes missing, or you forget to return them at the end of the season, or you want to keep them because they are so gosh darn well-designed-- not to worry! In that case, Dustin and I will simply invoice you to replace the bag to be paid before signing up for the next CSA season.
